Maria Fenlon Interiors collaboration with DMVF Architects. South County Dublin
At Maria Fenlon Interiors we often collaborate with architects when helping our clients create their dream homes. The collaboration between architects and interior designers is becoming ever more important, especially when creating healthier, more environmentally sustainable spaces.
As humans, we spend most of our time indoors, and in recent times more time than ever in our homes, this is why considering the health of our homes should be at the top of any architect or interior designer’s priority list. Some of the main areas where we work with architects to maximise the health and comfort benefits of a space is on the quality of the air, heating, ventilation, lighting and acoustics.
Designing healthy comfortable spaces also means including features such as tall ceilings, strategic use of colour and natural materials, textures and patterns, features that encourage walking, such as stairs or the placement of shared resources, ergonomic equipment and furniture, allowing access to natural light in all spaces, as much as possible and active noise reduction through sound absorbing wall and ceiling panels or modular dividers.
By collaborating with architects we are able to focus on these important elements, and curate your space to enhance the quality of your and your family’s lives.
