Since moving back to Dublin last year, I’ve had such a fabulous time reconnecting with the area, exploring the local hotspots, and visiting my suppliers time and time again. I was based in Brussels before, and although I loved my time there, there really is nothing quite like coming home, is there?
Homegrown talent is something I believe we should nurture. Whether that be by buying our eggs from a local farm, or showing up as a sign of support when a local artist has their first gallery show, being a part of your community is so important, and can be more rewarding than you’d ever imagine.
At Maria Fenlon Interior Architecture and Design, not only do we complete a lot of beautiful interior design fits, we also work on full renovations – a personal favourite pastime of mine, I have to say. And while our ideas are always inspired by our own creativity as well as that of the client, I’m not sure we’d be quite where we are today if we didn’t have our lovely local suppliers to source pieces from. After all, a renovation is a wonderful and inspiring thing to be a part of, but without the materials to finish the vision it stays exactly that – unfinished. And that’s not what we want when leaving a residence!
In this community spirit, I took the time today to put a spotlight on a some of our local suppliers, all based in the Dublin area…
